Limelight Occasions is a busy bridal boutique serving the entire bridal party. We require two part time sales assistants.
The successful applicants will be highly motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of highly efficient and creative team.
Limelight is proud to have won national retail awards this year and the successful applicants will be part of this winning formula. The roles to be filled are at the front line in customer service and store presentation. The right candidates will ensure that our excellent reputation, strong relationship with customers and sensational store presentation is maintained and improved.
Basic computer skills and good standards of English and Maths are required. Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferable. In addition to Bridal, we need one person to focus in menswear and one in our mother of the bride studio.
Wage: £6.50 per hour

The annual Bridal Buyer Awards, now in their 10th year, are widely acknowledged as the most important and influential awards programme in the bridal industry. Recognising excellence in retail, design, manufacturing, innovation and export, the awards attract many thousands of entries who are judged, initially, on their ability to meet a rigid set of criteria.
The judging process itself is lengthy and complex, with three independent panels investing time and experience in assessing the category finalists. Retailer awards are judged by a team of industry suppliers with an overview from trade associations and the media; supplier award winners are picked by a panel of top-notch retailers, again with input from the relevant trade associations.
The glittering ceremony on 14 March, at a black tie dinner at the Harrogate Exhibition Centre, saw the coming together of the stalwarts of the bridalwear industry. Some 600 guests from across the UK, Continental Europe and the US joined forces to celebrate the best in the industry.

Limelight Occasions held the Prom Factor 2009 final at it's studio on Thursday 5th March. All shortlisted nominees were invited where they were provided with drinks and refreshments and fabulous music from Hollie Cooper and Josh Edge. The winners were Vanessa Crossley from Salendine Nook High school and Joseph Medlock from The Mirfield Free Grammar. Each runner up received a goodie bag with prizes donated from The Bodyshop at Home. Vanessa has won her dress and accessories and Joseph has won four suit hires and accessories from Limelight Occasions and Vanessa has also won a prom makeup package donated by Visage Hair and Makeup Design. Both winners have also won their transport donated by Cartwright Cars, a photo shoot donated by Norma Dean Photography and hair styles donated Halo Hair Design.
Limelight Occasions held a fabulous prom fashion show in February showcasing the glamours prom dresses on offer from designers including Lou Lou, Linzi Jay, Crystal Breeze and Tiffany Prom. Attendees were provided with Limelight cocktails and a sumptious chocolate fountain. Limelight would like to thank the models from the Kirklees Council Energise Dance and Drama Project.

On Thursday 5th March at 7pm, Limelight Occasions will be holding the Prom Factor 2009 final where 2 winners will be announced from an outstanding selection of young people who were shortlisted from the competition. The winners will receive their prom outfit from Limelight Occasions, a make over with hair from Halo and make-up from Visage, transport to their prom from Cartwright Cars and a photoshoot with Norma Dean. Entertainment will be provided by 2 young local musicians.
Throughout 2009 clients will be able to view the latest designs on our catwalk in unique Limelight style.
