In the place where Romeo loved Juliet, our stunning bride Agnes, who travelled from London to our West Yorkshire boutique to find the ultimate wedding and bridesmaid gowns, held a truly beautiful wedding at the gorgeous 17th Century Palladian Villa Zambonina. This wedding is inspired by the graceful pink city of Verona, mirroring its romance and opulence.

We spoke with Agnes to find out some more about this spectacular venue, and she commented that…

‘One of the great things about this venue, asides from its beauty, was its size we were able to accommodate all of our guests,  allowing everyone to get to know each other turning our special day into an unforgettable week of memories which I will always treasure. ‘

Every detail has been considered down to the elegant green and cream colour palette being integrated into the wedding menu. The centre pieces have been carefully selected and look stunning against the verdant green gardens. The personal touches added to Agnes and Chris’s wedding are extremely moving, they placed photographs of those special ones who have passed  at the wedding table – such a thoughtful detail.

Agnes chose this stunning floor length sheath bridesmaid dresses, from Sorella Vita, in tulle with a romantic floral lace pattern for her girls. The gown features a modified sweetheart neckline and a satin belt to accentuate the waist, and really adds to the charm of the day.

Agnes looked so beautiful in her imperial gown Papillon designed by the wonderfully talented Ian Stuart who states that the splendour of the petal decoration that adorns this gown creates such an angelic look – and we have to completely agree!

Agnes and Chris asked us to pay special thanks to ‘Giovanna Aprili the extremely talented photographer and all the team at Villa Zambonina, especially marina, who helped to make our wedding unforgettable xxx’

If you are  planning a destination wedding, but can’t decide where, then we couldn’t think of a more fitting place than Italy. Universally renowned as one of the most romantic places in the world, with stunning landscapes, a wealth of history, art and delicious cuisine – not to mention wine, Italy reflects a lifestyle that helps you relax and indulge in its passion. So, it’s no surprise that our beautiful Limelight bride, Angela and her fiance, Alistair, chose to tie the knot in one of the most magical places this country has to offer, the perfectly picturesque Lake Garda! If you are looking for inspiration – look no further…

The couple opted for a ceremony on the castle terrace followed by a lakeside toast. The bridal party were then transported by boat to La Voglia. This gorgeous location allowed Angela and Alistair to enjoy their wedding dinner in a truly beautiful setting! We just love the clean colour scheme – the fresh white compliments the stunning backdrop perfectly.

There are some lovely personal touches – the wedding stationary combined A&A, the first initials of the bride and groom, and paddle fans, printed with the order of the day’s events, kept their guests cool under the Italian sun. The wedding bags also contained confetti, mints and flower seeds as well as a voucher for the castle ice cream shop – a treat for guests while the photos were being taken – these thoughtful touches make a wedding day truly unique.

Angela chose the stunningly beautiful Karen Willis Holmes wedding gown, Jamie, which reflects the romance of the setting perfectly. It is truly graceful gown, with a high neckline and low back, and a simple elegant silk georgette skirt flowing softly over satin. The bodice is richly embroidered with delicate beaded detail on a sheer tulle over the strapless bodice. This dress is the epitome of elegance and sophistication, and we think Angela wears it beautifully.

‘Ci sono tre cose belle della vita: la naseita, l’amore equesto giorno’

‘There are three beautiful things in life: birth, love and this day.’

This is what Angela told us about her Lake Garda wedding day:

‘The wedding organisers we used were, Lake Garda Weddings, they were fantastic and were amazing from the first email enquiry through to the day itself, we knew we were in safe hands!   Gwen Courtman our photographer is the lady who set up Lake Garda Weddings.

Anoulka from Nulki Nulks produced all our on the day stationery and paddle fans with the order of the day on them. She did an amazing job and the quality of her products made them seem very classy indeed.

The venue was called La Voglia and the setting and place its self was gorgeous.  The food and service were amazing.  Our wedding co-ordinator stayed with us right through until towards the end of the meal, she did an amazing job of making sure the whole day ran smoothly! It truly was the most perfect day we had hoped for!’
