No one likes working Sundays but there is one Sunday every year when we all meet at Limelight, at 7am – smiling! Last weekend, the entire team, including the latest 5 week old addition to the family, headed South to one of the most exciting bridal events of the year. White Gallery, in Battersea Park, houses the launch of the new bridal collections by the very best designers in the industry and we get to see them all while eating cupcakes – it’s a hard job but someone has to do it! The highlight for us, as always, was Ian Stuart’s catwalk show which launched Runway Rebel, his utterly fabulous 2016 bridal collection.

This exciting and eclectic collection offers 2016 brides individuality and great, great style. As usual, when it came to choosing our favourites for Limelight, we were totally spoilt for choice. For Sophie and Claire, Paradis is so perfectly pretty in every way!

We all adore Mai Tai – loving the oriental influence and the shape is sublime!

As Ian chats, in his unassuming way, to his models and clients, Haley has her eye on the amazing Chiquitita and her face says it all…

Combining candy stripes and florals with  the incomparable shape of Flower Bomb, this dress is romantic and sassy and utterly fabulous – for Haley and I, an absolute must have! Talking of flowers, how about Summertime? Jane had no hesitation:

So stylish, so dreamy, so Grace Kelly in High Society … my she’s yar…

Look out for a hot new trend which offers exciting  and versatile options for brides and has all the bridal stylists buzzing. Can’t decide between fitted and fairytale on your big day? Now you don’t have to!

Remove the skirt and WOW  – one dress, two stunning looks on your wedding day!

This is a just a little taster of the goodies in store from Ian Stuart at Limelight from September 2015 but if you would like to see the entire Runway Rebel collection and walk down our catwalk in some of Ian’s gorgeous creations, then book an appointment for our Ian Stuart Trunk show on September 19th 2015, like us, you’ll be blown away!

We always knew there was something extra special about Ian Stuart’s incredible wedding dresses so its great news to hear that he has been invited to exhibit at the at the Wedding Dresses exhibition 1775 -2014 at the Victoria and Albert Museum. This must see exhibition showcases 70 wedding dresses and accessories and has already travelled 46,425 miles to four international venues with 240,000 visitors. It opens in London on the 3rd May 2014 and features Ian’s show stopping wedding gown – Flowerbomb.

This amazing dress flatters the figure with a rouched bodice embellished with crystals and beads. The skirt and train are a confection of tulle and lace flowers in delicate pastel shades – pure Ian Stuart – pure romance!

Now that’s a wedding dress! We are delighted that Ian has revamped this gorgeous gown in the form of Cocorico for this bridal season. The figure flattering bodice remains with the gorgeous of flowers but the look is paired down to a simple mermaid skirt with an extra element of surprise – remove the skirt and party for the rest of the night in cocktail length!

Limelight brides absolutely love the versatility of gown  and we love the idea of  wearing this gown to the airport for the honeymoon – definitely an upgrade opportunity!

Wedding Dresses 1775-2014 also includes dresses loaned by Dita von Teese, and Gwen Stefani as well as gowns created by designers Charles Frederick Worth, Christian Lacroix and Norman Hartnell, who designed the Queens’s wedding dress. The exhibition closes 15th March 2015. No prizes for guessing where we are headed next time we are in London! Check it out at:
